OBA Citizenship & Immigration Law PROGRAM | Original Program Date: Spetember 12, 2018
The Canadian government’s expansion of the biometrics program took effect on July 31, 2018. Nationals from a number of countries are already required to provide biometrics (fingerprints and a photo) if they are applying for a visitor visa, a work or study permit, or permanent residence, even at a port of entry, and others will have to by the end of the year. This is but one change in what has been a busy summer on the immigration front. Join us to learn what you missed over the summer as our experts share their insights on:
- Expansion of the biometrics program
- Updates to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program
- Changes to the detention review process
- Proposed changes to the refugee determination process, including the latest on irregular border crossings
Our speakers will answer your most pressing questions on these key immigration issues in an expanded Q&A period at the end of the program.
