Moving From Diversity to Real Inclusion:
Is The Legal Profession "Getting It"?
Law Practice Management/CCCA Ontario Chapter/CCCA National Diversity Committe | Original Program Date: January 14, 2014
Why is it that the legal profession continues to lag behind their industry-based clients in the implementation of inclusive diversity programs? Simply having the "optics" of diversity is not enough. From a purely business perspective alone, it makes sense. There is ample evidence that organizations embracing diversity and inclusion in the workplace see many benefits including, a reduction in employee turnover, a substantial increase in employee satisfaction and increased productivity.
Learn what you can do to implement and support real inclusion in your firm and/or legal service providers. Through an expert panel of speakers you will discover why law firms must move from diversity to real inclusion just as many of their clients are doing, and how law firms can get there. You will learn what you can do to get law firms to initiate change, either as a member of the firm or as a client.
