A New Approach to the Standard of Review: Working with the Vavilov  Framework

With the release of its decision in Vavilov, and the companion cases of Bell Canada and NFL, the Supreme Court of Canada has reworked its approach to standard of review. The new framework will have implications for all lawyers practicing public law and conducting reviews of administrative bodies.
