Criminal Rules Reform Initiative Engagement Session

Date:  Thursday, April 3 | 3:30-4:30pm
CPD Hours: 1.00 hour
ABOUT THE CONSULTATION

CBABC is preparing a submission in response to the Court of Appeal of BC's Criminal Appeal Rules, Practice Directives, and related processes. Join an engagement session to discuss and share feedback on how these Rules are working for those who engage regularly with the Court's criminal appeal processes.

Review this Discussion Paper before the session, which includes a summary of the current framework established by the Criminal Appeal Rules and Practice Directives.

Join us on April 3 to discuss and share your views. If you can't attend this session, please email your thoughts to advocacy@cbabc.org by April 4. Your comments will be taken into account for the submission.

ACKNOWLEDGING FIRST NATIONS TERRITORIES

This meeting is hosted by CBABC, which is located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples, including the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh and Musqueam First Nations. We encourage our members to explore the rich history and knowledge of Indigenous people, and to continue learning about their experience in Canada, past and present.
