ABOUT THE ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS

You are invited to a focus group to share your experiences and concerns about the practice of law from an equity, diversity, and inclusion perspective. The information you share will guide CBABC’s EDI strategy and action plan for programs and advocacy to support members in their workplace, with colleagues, and with advancement in the profession.

The sessions will be led by Chanelle Tye, an external EDI consultant experienced with facilitating meaningful and sensitive conversations. She will foster a safe and supportive environment. The information shared will not be attributed to individuals.

You are receiving this due to your enrollment in one of the groups above. If you can’t attend your group’s session please consider joining one of the two open sessions. If you are keen to participate but are not available during the scheduled sessions, please email feedback@cbabc.org and we will contact you to make other arrangements.

We deeply appreciate your willingness to contribute to this critical initiative. Together, we can and will create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all lawyers and articling students.

ACKNOWLEDGING FIRST NATIONS TERRITORIES

This meeting is hosted by CBABC, which is located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples, including the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh and Musqueam First Nations. We encourage our members to explore the rich history and knowledge of Indigenous people, and to continue learning about their experience in Canada, past and present.
