OBA Constitutional, Civil Liberties and Human Rights PROGRAM
12:00 PM to 1:30 PM (ET)
Join us to celebrate International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) as we applaud the valuable contributions and leadership of lawyers living with disabilities, and highlight the work of people, organizations, and communities that are removing barriers. Learn from our panel of lawyers living with disabilities about:
- Persisting barriers to accessibility
- Navigating requests for accommodations
- How lawyers with disabilities and allies can work together to remove barriers in the legal profession.
- How to be an effective disability ally
IDPD is a United Nations-sanctioned day that is celebrated worldwide every year on the 3rd of December. The day is about promoting the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities at every level of society and development, and to raise awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in all aspects of political, social, economic, and cultural life.
