OBA Professional Development PROGRAM | 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM (ET)
As vaccinations for COVID-19 roll out, many questions are being raised about whether businesses can ask and/or require customers, clients or other visitors to their premises or events to present proof of having been vaccinated. Our expert faculty will bring together privacy, human rights, health and safety, and other legal considerations to discuss how businesses may approach these novel issues. Our panel will consider challenges facing:
- Businesses where customers can pre-register (eg. lessons, tours, etc.)
- Front-facing public businesses (eg. retail and restaurants)
- Hosts of events such as conferences or open houses
- Businesses conducting onsite meetings (eg. with clients or customers)
If you are counselling clients who regularly interact with members of the public, you won’t want to miss this timely discussion on how businesses will need to weigh various considerations when determining whether proof of vaccination is required and how this should be done.
