Economics Unpacked: A Brownbag for Canadian Competition Lawyers

Dec. 11, 2024
Online

The CBA Competition Law and Foreign Investment Review Section’s Young Lawyers and Economics Committee present:

Economics Unpacked: A Brownbag for Canadian Competition Lawyers

December 11, 2024 | 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Eastern
Online (Zoom)

This brownbag offers an opportunity for young (and more senior) lawyers in the CBA competition law section to learn about some of the economics fundamentals which underpin the law. With recent changes to the act, including the incorporation of HHIs as a key part of merger analysis, this discussion is particularly relevant today. The panelists will also explore the role of economists when they are brought onto a deal and how their analysis may inform that of the Competition Bureau.
