Please join the Mergers Committee of the CBA Competition Law and Foreign Investment Review Section for a brown bag webinar focused on merger review in regulated industries.

With a number of recent high-profile transactions being subject to parallel reviews under the Competition Act and sector-specific legislation, this panel – featuring a range of perspectives including from government, private practice and government relations - will explore how parallel reviews in the transportation, financial services and telecommunications industries present unique substantive and procedural challenges both for merging parties and government agencies. As well as examining learnings from recent cases, the panel will explore how parties and their counsel can best prepare for sector-specific reviews, and the interaction between the Competition Bureau and the relevant ministerial departments.
