How Lawyers with Disabilities & Allies Create Change Within the Legal Profession

Over six million Canadians 15 and older (22% of the population) identify as having one or more disabilities. National AccessAbility Week (May 28 to June 3, 2023) is an annual opportunity to celebrate the valuable contributions and leadership of Canadians with disabilities, highlight the work of people, organizations, and communities that are removing barriers, and reflect on ongoing efforts to become a better, more accessible and inclusive Canada.

Learn from our panel of lawyers living with disabilities about the accessibility barriers that exist and what roles we, whether living with disabilities or as disability allies, can play in removing the barriers within the legal profession. The panel will also offer practical tips about being an effective disability ally.
