Surviving your Client: Practice Management Tips from Senior Immigration Lawyers

The practice of immigration law is demanding and at times poses unique professional and ethical challenges. During this webinar, a panel of seasoned lawyers will cover a variety of topics and practice management and ethical tips, including:

• Managing effective communication with client including managing expectations and advising clients on what can or cannot be done from ethical perspective within the scope of retainer;
• Setting out retainer that provides for complex legal scenarios that may arise during the course of the lawyer-client relationship and explaining the explanations to clients;-Ethical obligations as a lawyer and our professional obligations when a client provides illegal instructions and professional duty to the Court, IRCC/CBSA/ESDC to uphold standards of legal profession;

• Practice management tips for work-life balance and setting proper expectations and boundaries in your professional relationships in the practice of law.
