Plenary 2 – Wellness for Lawyers
Sponsored by
Practicing law during a pandemic is difficult, but particularly so for immigration practitioners. Border and travel restrictions, quarantine requirements, vaccine mandates, and clients suddenly “stuck” in third countries have all greatly increased stress levels. Balancing our practices while dealing with the challenge of living in pandemic times has led to burnout, anxiety and mental health issues. This session will provide practical and targeted advice and strategies for lawyers to attain and maintain mental health while practising during a pandemic. Participants will be introduced to available resources, including from CBA and EAP.
