This one-day Symposium sponsored by the CBA SOGIC section will feature a diverse array of speakers from the LGBTQ2S+ community, looking at where we have come, where we are, and where we have to go with respect to rights and legal battles in Canada.

Join our speakers as they discuss the battles for LGBTQ2S+ rights they faced early in their careers and how they overcame hurdles as members of the community. Topics will include notable cases, ethics in dealing with incivility related to sexual and gender identity, and practice tips for litigating LGBTQ2S+ issues from experts.

Panelists will also discuss legal issues currently facing the LGBTQ2S+ community and trends in litigation, as well as legislation both recently passed and tabled that may affect the queer community. If released by this date, the CBA A2J for Trans People Report will also be discussed.
