This interdisciplinary panel will discuss key challenges and opportunities stemming from changes to the assessment of resource projects under the IAA. Discussions will include fulfilling pre-planning requirements, assessing for climate change impacts and sustainability, and considering impacts on the rights of Indigenous peoples. The new “public interest” test will be considered.
