There are more than 4,500 municipalities in Canada, making this sector a significant employer of in-house lawyers. However, the law departments themselves each vary in size from a single lawyer to hundreds of lawyers depending on the needs of the municipality. Our panelists for this final session, who come from a range of departmental sizes, will talk about the pros and cons of their work environments, and share how they use various resources to maximize effectiveness and productivity, while maintaining quality of service.
