The 2017 Report of the BC Family Mediation VAW Project recognized the need for standardized and consistent screening for family violence in family law disputes. The Mediator's Assessment of Safety Issues and Concerns (Masic) is a widely used and accepted screening tool which is open sourced and accessible. The webinar will introduce participants to the Masic 4, the most recent publicly available version of the screening tool, and provide hands on training on the use and effectiveness of the Masic 4 in family, mediation, and ADR cases involving interpersonal violence and power imbalance disputes.
