This session will involve an overview and discussion of matters of enactment as a comparison with the parliamentary tradition from the perspective of Indigenous law. There will be an introduction to the approaches to inherent and codified lawmaking that have been and are underway by Indigenous Peoples. This will be useful for public sector lawyers and other practitioners who are interested in better understanding the nature of Indigenous law-making in different communities.
