Synopsis
This unique skills webinar will provide an overview of the fundamentals of cross-examination in the civil and family law context and dissect pre-recorded vignettes of examples of cross-exam: effective cross- examination, dealing with difficult witnesses (the “soap boxer”, the “crier”); what counsel should not do (the “eye roller” lawyer, the “belligerent lawyer”); impeaching witnesses, using documents and more.
Using an Estate/Family litigation fact pattern, our panel of top litigators, Amy Mortimore, Partner, Estates & Trusts Co-Chair, Clark Wilson LLP and Todd R. Bell, Partner, Schuman Daltrop Basran & Robin LLP will pre-record vignettes and provide live commentary on the dos and don’ts of cross-examination. This webinar is a must for junior counsel and for intermediate and senior counsel who feel a refresher in cross-examination skills is in order. Moderated by Rhona Lichtenwald.
