Legislative Reform: The Next Update to the Construction Act
In 2017, Ontario updated the Construction Lien Act, now called the Construction Act, and implemented numerous changes arising from “Striking the Balance: Expert Review of Ontario’s Construction Lien Act”. In the years since the Construction Act took effect, construction lawyers have grappled with the effects of the changes for the industry, both positive and negative. In 2024, the Government of Ontario is embarking upon another review to consider further updates to Act. Join us to hear from an esteemed panel of practitioners who will provide their input and insight with the issues in the Act and potential beneficial updates.
