The federal Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry recently introduced as Bill C-27 -An Act to enact the Consumer Privacy Protection Act, the Personal Information and Data Protection Tribunal Act and the Artificial Intelligence and Data Act and to make consequential and related amendments to other Acts” (the “Act”).  This seminar is focused on the implications of regulating artificial intelligence in the private sector as proposed by the Act. The seminar will outline the key new or modified requirements in the Act as they relate to an organization’s privacy compliance program.  It will discuss some of the practical challenges these requirements as well provide a review of legislative developments in other jurisdictions.
