Addressing Historic Spills and Discharges in Transactions and Insolvencies

Apr. 20, 2023
Online

OBA Environmental Law PROGRAM | 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM (ET)

This program is also part of the 2022 – 2023 Environmental Law Passport Series – Lifecycle of a Spill

Even once the spill is remediated and the regulator has closed its file, historic spills and discharges may impact transactions and other proceedings years later. Knowing how to get the right information, advise your client and manage their risks through agreements and indemnities is key to dealing with the long-term impacts of a spill. Our panelists will share key insights into managing risk for clients involved in transactions or insolvency proceedings and highlight leading and relevant case law. Participants will have a chance to use real world examples as they work through tips and advice on managing liability for historic spills and discharges.

Don’t miss our third and final program in our Environmental Passport Program series of 2022-2023.
