OBA Young Lawyers Division - South West PROGRAM | 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM (ET)
Improving diversity and inclusion in law firms can start with you. Raising awareness about the impact of microaggressions in a workplace setting can be an important first step. What is a microaggression? As a young lawyer, how can you identify them, respond to them and help change your workplace culture? Jodie Glean-Mitchell, an expert in the field of antiracism, equality and inclusion, and Christine Thomlinson, co-founder and co-managing partner at Rubin Thomlinson LLP, a law firm focused on workplace investigations, workplace harassment and misconduct, will lead participants in an engaging discussion on how to manage and address microaggressions in various workplace scenarios.
As many lawyers and firms are re-imagining their workplaces, the OBA’s Work that Works initiative is providing the ideas, tools and know-how to build productive, profitable, modern, healthy and inclusive work environments for lawyers.
