OBA Workers' Compensation Law PROGRAM | Original Program Date: November 6, 2020

The Workers' Compensation Section of the OBA invites you to an exciting lunchtime event featuring a discussion with Rosemarie McCutcheon, Chair of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal (WSIAT), and the presentation of the 2020 Ron Ellis Award to Chris James.

WSIAT Chair Rosemarie McCutcheon is an experienced adjudicator having served as a WSIAT Vice-Chair for over 20 years. She will discuss the approach that she plans to bring to her role as Tribunal Chair, as well as providing insight and an update into ongoing developments at WSIAT including the many initiatives that the Tribunal has implemented to continue services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This will be preceded by the 2020 presentation of the Ron Ellis Award to Chris James.

	HONOURED AWARD RECIPIENT CHRIS JAMES School Boards' Co-Operative Inc.

Chris James has been a Workers’ Compensation Lawyer at School Boards' Co-Operative Inc. since 1998. During that time he has been an active mentor and volunteer, notably chairing the Schedule 2 Employers’ Group and the Schedule 2 Conference Committee. The Ron Ellis Award was created to recognize exceptional contributions and/or achievements in the field of workers’ compensation law and Mr. James exemplifies that.
