OBA Child & Youth Law PROGRAM | Original Program Date: October 16, 2020

The Cross-over Youth Project, a four year pilot project which concluded in July 2019, implemented and evaluated best practices aimed at improving outcomes for young people involved in both the child welfare and youth criminal justice systems. These youth experience unique challenges as they navigate their way through a complicated system. Join us to explore:

  • Key learnings from the project
  • What has happened since the project concluded and next steps
  • Practical advice for all counsel involved in both youth criminal justice and child welfare proceedings to better assist youth

Our exceptional panel, consisting of those intimately involved in the project, will share valuable insights and helpful strategies for us all to work together and to improve the services we provide to youth, including how to provide trauma-informed services. Join us for this valuable program.
