Join us for a collegial roundtable discussion and networking event with your in-house counsel colleagues. This event is designed to help you create new connections, share knowledge, experience and best practices, generate new ideas, solve challenges, and learn from your colleagues while discussing topics that are most relevant to your in-house legal practice. You will be able to participate in three roundtable discussions on the following topics:
- Working with business – establishing yourself as an ally of the business team members
- Structure of your legal department – evaluating, initiating and implementing change
- Software solutions – meeting the practice management and research needs of the legal department
- Ethics and confidentiality issues – explaining and implementing practices to protect privileged and confidential advice
- Budgeting, resources and support – financing, supporting and demonstrating the value of the legal department
- Your role and your career development – progressing in your career and transitioning to new roles, within the same company or elsewhere
Each roundtable discussion will be moderated to ensure that each participant walks away with new insights and perspectives.

There is no charge to in-house counsel who are members of CBA/CCCA provided that you are registered for the program in advance of November 21, 2018. OBA cannot guarantee seating or meals for persons registering after the deadline.
Please note: The event organizing committee will endeavour to meet, but cannot guarantee, the topic preference of every participant, as space may be limited. Please note that members registering for in-person events and not cancelling in advance cause expenses to law firm partners, waste of food and limits attendance by others. Free programming will be monitored and if you register for, but do not attend up to two programs without giving 48 hours prior notice, you will not be able to register for any other complimentary programs until the end of July 2019.
