Please join us at noon on February 26, 2025 for a presentation from Liam Murphy and Maurice Chiasson on the use of reverse vesting orders in insolvency and restructuring proceedings. This session is proposed to our members given the increasing use of reverse vesting orders across the country, and their recent use in Atlantic Canada. Topics will include:
- An overview of reverse vesting orders;
- Considerations for their use and limitations, including a legal standpoint and a court officer’s standpoint; and
- Whether we can expect the jurisprudence in Atlantic Canada on reverse vesting orders to differ from the rest of the country.
We are looking forward to this conversation with Liam Murphy, an advisory partner with Doane Grant Thornton specializing in complex restructuring, corporate advisory, M&A, and insolvency engagements, and Maurice Chiasson, KC, a partner with Stewart McKelvey specializing in insolvency and restructuring law.
