Description:
In late October 2022, the first comprehensive national study on wellness in the legal profession was published. The findings paint an alarming picture of the wellness of Canadian legal professionals. Legal professionals in all areas of practice and in all jurisdictions suffer from significantly high levels of psychological distress, depression, anxiety, burnout and suicidal ideation, with those in the early years of practice experiencing some of the highest rates of distress. This important study will have a profound impact on the legal profession for years to come.
The Law Society of New Brunswick is inviting legal professionals to attend this conference to normalize discussion about mental health in our profession and to start identifying solutions.
