International adoptions can be complicated and difficult to manage. **Delia Jane Ramsbotham** will give you an overview of the adoption process, including roles of the federal and provincial governments, as well as foreign governments, laws, and international treaties. She will discuss adoptions from Hague Convention countries and non-Hague Convention countries, as the procedures differ. She will also discuss when alternatives to adoption might be appropriate.
