The CBA Competition Law and Foreign Investment Review Section’s FIR Committee presents:

Whose Risk is it Anyway? Practical considerations for allocating national security risk

February 26, 2025 | 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Eastern
Online (Zoom)

National security reviews have gained prominence in Canada. Parties to transactions must carefully assess potential national security issues in determining transaction timelines, filing strategies under the Investment Canada Act (and Competition Act), public relations strategies, and allocation of regulatory risk. Following recent amendments to the Investment Canada Act, we can expect these considerations to hold even greater weight in transaction negotiations. Join us for a discussion between GR professionals and counsel on practical approaches to these issues.
