Land Acknowledgements: What They Are and why they are important?

Dec. 2, 2024
Online

A land acknowledgement has become a common convention, spoken at the beginning of meetings and events, added to web sites, and included in email signatures. But what are they? Why are they important? Who does them and what do they include?

While these acknowledgements are meant to be an important step towards reconciliation, it is important when delivering an acknowledgment that it is both genuine and accurate. This webinar will ask participants to situate themselves. Whose ancestral land are you on?
