The Mergers Committee of the CBA Competition Law Section is pleased to host two in-person roundtable sessions for CBA members who are interested in providing insight and comments to the Competition Bureau (Bureau) regarding its ongoing review of the Merger Enforcement Guidelines (MEGs). These sessions are part of a series of roundtables being organized by the Bureau to seek input on its review of the MEGs.

Each session will be capped at [40] participants with a view to encouraging more candid and open dialogue.

The Competition Bureau’s November 7 discussion paper sets out the context of the review, possible areas of the MEGs to be updated and detailed questions for consideration. It will be used as a starting point for the discussions to be held at the roundtables.

 

In-person details:

  1. Maximum number of in-person attendants (registration can be capped, if necessary) if applicable:

Maximum of 40 in-person attendants per session

  1. Will snacks/lunch be provided (if applicable)?

Light refreshments will be available (i.e., coffee, tea, water, soft drinks and cookies)
