Identifying Risks to Ensure Highly Effective Workplace Investigations
Complaints of harassment, discrimination and other objections are surging in the workplace. At the same time, courts and tribunals are increasing their scrutiny of the related disciplinary decisions. Fair and thorough workplace investigations are necessary so employers can be prepared to defend actions taken in response to workplace issues. Increase your understanding of the proper methods for conducting workplace investigations including:
- Recognizing when investigations should be conducted
- Gaining an overview of essential investigation procedures and spotting common risks in investigations
- Appreciating the impact of psychology and cultural differences on investigations and checking biases
- When to seek outside counsel and how to work effectively with them
- Identifying when employers should impose corrective actions, including adjusting workplace cultures
