The CBA Competition Law and Foreign Investment Review Section’s Economics and Law Committee presents:
Competition Economics Potluck
April 20, 2023 | 12:00 PM to 1:15 PM Eastern
Online (Zoom)
Economic analysis plays a vital and increasingly important role in the competition law context. As a result, it is imperative that we, as lawyers, have at least a general knowledge of economics as it relates to, among other things, consumer behaviour, multi-sided platforms, theories of harm, barriers to entry, price effects and damages.
To help ensure that we are up to speed in this area, the Economics and Law Committee has invited four economists to take part in a Competition Economics Potluck. During this session, each economist will speak for 15 minutes on an economics-focussed topic of his or her choice. The only limitations – the topics must relate to competition law in some way, shape or form and must be presented in a way that is understandable to lawyers (who may have a limited economics background).
Please join us to hear what these economists have to say during this unique panel!
