Tackling Homelessness: Progressive Solutions by Local Governments
A panel of lawyers will discuss the multi-faceted issues of homelessness, and progressive tools and solutions applied by local governments on the front lines.
Our expert panelists will cover current developments, lessons learned and best practices, including: Housing First approach for chronically homeless persons; obligations respecting providing shelter; regulating public parks; COVID ramifications; municipal bylaws regulating affordable housing (rental tenure zoning and “renoviction” controls); and the CBA’s Tackling Homelessness Toolkit.
