This session will provide a breakdown of what all young lawyers need to know about consent agreements. The session will cover the Competition Bureau's mergers consent agreement template, timing and cost considerations, the scenarios in which a consent agreement may not be necessary, when departures from the mergers consent agreement template are appropriate, and how consent agreements in the non-mergers context differ from consent agreements in the mergers context.
