Day 2 - Friday, November 12, 2021 | 3:10 PM - 4:30 PM ET
3:10 pm –4:30 pm Data as a Social Good
This panel will discuss the various ways both public and private organizations have been thinking about, and acting on, using data for social good. We will examine this issue both from the point of view of access (open data) and privacy, and will address proposed legislative changes such as disclosure for socially beneficial purposes under Bill C-11. The panelists will consider, among other questions, how de-identification techniques (like synthetic data) and data trust concepts can advance the use of data for social good.
