SESSION SPONSORED BY
This professional development session promises to be introspective and challenging. We use the terms "equity", "diversity" and "inclusion" all the time and often interchangeably and sometimes as one term (EDI, D&I) but what do they really mean? Why do they matter in our workplaces and is it really possible to be inclusive to all? The bigger question is whether we really want diversity or are we responding to public pressure? Through this interactive session, participants will explore the following fundamental questions:
- Can we build an inclusive workspace? And if so, who decides what we should do and how?
- What does diversity mean to different people?
- How do we promote equity and not just equality?
