This session will address the importance of diversity and cultural competence in decision-making, whether on a submitted application or in hearings before a court or tribunal. Tips and strategies will be shared about how to include a client’s experiences with racism when preparing submissions and presenting arguments.
Topics to be covered will include:

- The relevance of BIPOC experiences with racism and when this should be included in an application
- The importance of diversity in decision-making at tribunals and the courts
