In this presentation, the panelists will provide a brief overview of existing contractual models for large-scale infrastructure projects identifying their key features and potential limits. Through concrete examples, they will present and discuss alternatives to these existing models such as alliance contracting or integrated project delivery, outlining their key features, how they differ from traditional contracts, the rationale for using such innovative models and the challenges in doing so in the current Canadian context.
