11:30 am – 1:00 pm Behind the scenes of a large-scale project in Quebec
Have you always dreamed of seeing how a hydroelectric facility is built? We’d like to invite you to a presentation on the construction of the Romaine complex in Havre Saint Pierre.
The Romaine complex represents:
- A clean, renewable and reliable energy source for the Québec market and markets outside Québec, as well as a tangible contribution to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in keeping with the energy transition.
- More than 15 years of work, the management of a remote jobsite (1,100 km from Montréal!), four generating stations, an installed capacity of 1,550 MW, reservoirs covering a surface area of 279 km2, 500 km of new transmission lines, an average of 1,059 people on the jobsite each year, a $7-billion project.
- The expertise of hundreds of renowned engineering, construction, and supplier companies.
- The starting point of a shift in occupational health and safety at Hydro-Québec.
This presentation will provide you with the opportunity to view unique images of the project and to chat with four panelists who were closely involved with the project, from different angles.
A one-of-a-kind opportunity to gain a better understanding of how a project of this scope is developed and brought to fruition.
