Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, many tribunals have shifted to online hearings. The panel will consider whether electronic hearings pose any specific challenges with respect to natural justice and procedural fairness, the benefits and drawbacks of online tribunal hearings, particularly in the regulatory and professional discipline context, and whether the online format is here to stay.
