Paul M. Bourassa

PAUL M. BOURASSA is a barrister and solicitor currently in private legal practice at BL&SS: Bourassa Law & Strategic Services, based in Canada. Mr. Bourassa works with both public and private sector clients to develop strategic initiatives, training, and policies, and to provide legal advice concerning financial integrity, including asset recovery.

Mr. Bourassa has a distinguished track record, notably as a Federal Crown Prosecutor with the Government of Canada and an Advisory Crown Counsel to the Integrated Proceeds of Crime Group within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. He has also acted as a consultant to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in southern Africa, with a particular focus on combating money laundering and terrorist financing.

Throughout his career, Paul has conducted prosecutions and provided strategic legal advice in the areas of asset recovery, proceeds of crime, illegal drug supply and money laundering. In recent years, he has also trained senior law enforcement officers and financial investigators in Canada and the Middle East.

Mr. Bourassa also serves as a Director and Vice President for North America with UK-based Altia-ABM, global specialists in crime investigation and covert operation software, providing strategic advice on sales, long-term strategy and customer relations for Canada and the US.
