The Rule of Law in the Current Pandemic: Permutations within the Landscape of Civil Rights and the Law
This brief one (1) hour open dialogue will begin with touching the surface of the Rule of Law in Canada and comparatively assess how it imparts upon society domestically and globally in other jurisdictions. The dialogue is designed to include an inter-generational approach to this discussion. We will then talk about salient civil rights issues arising within this realm, including but not limited to: privacy, access to justice and mobility rights.
Facilitator
Navi Gill has been a sessional instructor at KPU since 2006. She is Crown Counsel and has been a trial prosecutor since January 2004, a practicing lawyer since October 20, 2003 (date of her call to the Bar). She began her prosecutorial career in Smithers, B.C., when she also began teaching criminal law and legal systems at Northwest Community College between 2004 to 2006.
