NOTICE OF JOINT ZOOM MEETING

Bring a Buddy Months - In April and May 2022 consider bringing a non-member buddy to a Section Meeting. Sections provide opportunities for lawyers to further their professional education and to keep ahead of current developments within the profession. The MBA wants to show non-members what they're missing!!

TOPIC: The Legislative and Regulatory Processes in Manitoba
SPEAKERS: Glenn Joynt, Chief Legislative Counsel, Manitoba Justice 
Christina Wasyliw, Deputy Legislative Counsel & General Counsel, Manitoba Justice

The presentation will provide an overview on how bills become law in Manitoba and how regulations are made in Manitoba. It will also review the information available on the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba website, Laws of Manitoba website and the Engage MB website. Lastly the presentation will touch on the drafting process from a legislative counsel perspective.

At approximately 9:30am on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 an email will be sent from the MBA advising you of the link that you will click on to join the Zoom video conference meeting.  So it will be important to register before 5:00pm on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.

Attendance at this MBA Section meeting can be applied towards your Law Society of Manitoba’s Continuing Professional Development requirement for a maximum of 1.5 hours.
