MANITOBA BAR ASSOCIATION
WOMEN LAWYERS' FORUM SECTION
NOTICE OF ZOOM MEETING
DATE: Thursday, November 4, 2021
TiIMES: 12:15pm
LOCATION: Zoom Video Conference
TITLE: Speed Mentorship Events
Join the Women Lawyers’ Forum Section for this speed mentorship event. This event will present law students and new lawyers (mentees) with an opportunity to speak with legal professionals regarding their practice areas, careers, and overall development, allowing participants to gain some valuable insight, particularly in light of these challenging economic times.
Interested mentees may register for one session of speed mentorship.
At the session, mentees will be divided into small breakout rooms. Mentors will “speed network” through each breakout room during the event timeframe, allowing breakout room mentees to speak to each mentor. We encourage you to arrive with questions to make the most of your time with each mentor!
Zoom conferencing details will be provided by email to those who register. Due to the nature of this event, registration is limited. If you are unable to attend this event following your registration, please inform us about your cancellation as soon as possible so we may accept waitlisted participants.
Please RSVP (PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED) to the Manitoba Bar Association online (link above).
You will need a computer or laptop (PC or Mac), smartphone or tablet with a microphone and webcam (built-in or external) and an internet connection.
If you will be participating from a laptop, you would also need to install a Zoom Client for Meetings from this site: https://zoom.us/download. If you are unsure whether you have the latest version of Zoom, please follow the instructions HERE.
If you are having troubles, please email sections@cba-mb.ca.
At approximately 9:30am on Thursday, November 4, 2021 an email will be sent from the MBA advising you of the link that you will click on to join the Zoom video conference meeting. So it will be important to register before 5:00pm on Wednesday, November 3, 2021.
Attendance at this MBA Section learning session can be applied towards your Law Society mandatory yearly continuing professional development requirement for Ethics, Professionalism and Practice Management for a maximum of 1.5 hours.
