Synopsis
The BC Pension Corporation is one of the largest professional pension service providers in Canada. The issues they deal with intersect with many legal areas, including pension standards, family law and estate planning. In this session, Adrian Rockwell discusses common issues that the BC Pension Corporation sees in the administration of pension benefits and practical insights for lawyers to help better serve clients with pension considerations in mind.
About the Speaker
Adrian Rockwell joined the BC Pension Corporation in 2016 and is currently Assistant Director of Policy. He leads a team of senior analysts who provide legislative and policy research, development and advice to the boards of five major pension plans serving one in eight British Columbians. He has led multiple initiatives that have guided boards of trustees through policy and administrative matters, including legislative and plan design changes, employer participation eligibility, and regulatory compliance.
