Synopsis
Roshni Veerapen moderates a panel discussion featuring Alexis Kerr, Daniel Reid, and Daniel Nam. The discussion begins with an overview of privacy legislation in British Columbia as it pertains to health information. The panel dives into the law as it relates to custodianship of medical records, delving into the complex challenges that arise when third parties, such as family members or law enforcement, request access to medical records. The session concludes with a discussion of the risks and benefits associated with the use of AI technology in the healthcare sector.
