Synopsis
Evidence of family violence, especially non-physical violence such as patterns of emotional abuse or coercive and controlling behaviours, can be challenging to convey effectively in a courtroom. Erin Brook discusses barriers to proving the nature and impact of family violence and strategies for addressing difficult evidentiary issues in family violence cases.
