SYNOPSIS
This webinar is a part of the CBABC Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Series.
Do you hesitate, get stuck or just avoid challenging conversations that can disrupt or dismantle inequity with clients or colleagues? Do you avoid prioritizing centering people from minoritized groups because you are afraid to perpetuate harm, or you are not sure what to do? Join this interactive session and overcome your thought barriers. Dr Gunderson begins by talking about why we may hesitate or get stuck and then invites you to share YOUR specific situations/questions. After a short break, attendees engage in an hour-long practice exercise to address tough situations using knowledge and strategies shared. The session concludes with a conversation about mental wellness and self-care strategies for addressing EDI concerns in practice followed by a final Q&A.
