Synopsis
David Claassen of Claassen Mediation will provide his tips and advice on how to best prepare for and conduct a mediation as counsel. Drawing on his experience as a mediator, David will discuss various elements of the mediation process, including selecting a mediator, drafting a mediation brief, preparing your client for mediation, and effective advocacy at mediation. This session should be hugely helpful for younger lawyers in assisting more senior lawyers in mediations and in taking conduct of their own mediations.
Territorial Acknowledgement
This event will be broadcast from the traditional and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples, including Tsleil-Waututh, Squamish and Musqueam First Nations.
